Beirut, Lebanon, October 2024 — Sandra Al Khoury has been appointed as the Country Head of Human Resources at Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS), where she will oversee the organization’s HR strategy and operations across Lebanon. With a strong background in HR management within the humanitarian sector, Sandra brings a wealth of experience in recruitment, administration, and organizational development. In her new role, she will focus on enhancing employee engagement, talent acquisition, and aligning HR strategies with JRS’s mission to support refugees and displaced individuals.
Before joining JRS, Sandra Al Khoury worked at the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), where she held roles such as Human Resources and Administration Coordinator for nearly a year and Human Resources Officer for over a year. At NRC, Sandra led HR initiatives focused on improving processes, developing employee relations, and supporting organizational goals in the challenging humanitarian context of Lebanon.
Prior to her tenure at NRC, Sandra spent over four years at the Bank of Beirut, where she rose through the ranks from Recruitment and Selection Assistant to Human Resources Officer. During her time at the bank, she focused on talent acquisition, HR administration, and employee engagement, building a robust HR foundation in a corporate environment.
Sandra also gained experience as a Freelance Translator from 2015 to 2020, offering language expertise for various clients, which honed her communication and organizational skills.
