Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, January 2026 — Sanjeev Sharma has been appointed as Chief Information Officer (CIO) at VIP Industries Limited, where he will lead the company’s technology strategy with a focus on driving business productivity, digital transformation, and scalable innovation.
In his new role, Sanjeev Sharma will be responsible for leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen omnichannel capabilities, and enable data-driven decision-making across VIP Industries’ extensive manufacturing, distribution, and retail ecosystem.
Before joining VIP Industries, Sanjeev spent nearly six years at Usha International, most recently as Vice President – Information Technology. During his tenure, he defined and executed IT strategy as a core business driver, led AI/ML and cloud-first initiatives, implemented large-scale dealer and retail automation platforms, and enabled digital coverage for thousands of employees, dealers, and retailers nationwide. He was promoted from AVP-IT to VP-IT in recognition of his impact.
Earlier, he served as Senior General Manager – IT at Havells India, where he led enterprise-wide CRM, DMS, POS, SFA, and Consumer 360 platforms, integrating IoT and big data to improve visibility, governance, and sales productivity across thousands of partners and outlets.
Sanjeev also held leadership roles at Samsung India Electronics, where he progressed to Deputy General Manager, driving large-scale sales, service, supply chain automation, and BI initiatives across multiple channels and geographies. His earlier career includes commercial and operational roles with Unilever, NIVEA India, Spencer’s Retail, Dabur India, and DS Group, giving him a strong foundation across sales, operations, and technology-led transformation.
