Jacksonville, Florida, United States, November 2025 — Sara Meinke has stepped into the role of Vice President, IS Business Applications at Baptist Health, marking an important milestone in a two-decade career shaped by dedication, innovation, and transformational contributions in healthcare information systems. Her journey—from early roles in radiology customer service to senior leadership in enterprise technology—reflects her deep commitment to advancing healthcare through impactful digital innovation.
Before assuming this new role, Meinke most recently served for nearly four years as Sr. Director, Enterprise Business Systems at Baptist Health, where she led enterprise-wide digital initiatives and strengthened the organisation’s core systems. Her contributions spanned complex implementations across electronic medical records (EMR/EHR), operational systems, and enterprise data capabilities—solidifying her reputation as a strategic leader in healthcare IT.
Prior to that, Meinke served for close to six years as System Director of Ambulatory Technologies and Informatics and Ambulatory Informatics Director, overseeing key advancements across ambulatory systems and workflow optimisation initiatives. Her leadership played a pivotal role in modernising Baptist Health’s informatics environment and enhancing its clinical and operational efficiency.
Earlier in her career at Baptist Health, Meinke held critical roles including Physician Informatics Manager and Team Lead, Clinical Informatics, contributing nearly six years in these capacities. In these roles, she drove physician-focused technology adoption, built clinical informatics capabilities, and supported system-wide enhancements that improved care delivery.
Her journey with the organisation began more than nine years earlier in various Ancillary Roles, giving her a comprehensive, ground-up understanding of Baptist Health’s operations, people, and systems. These early experiences formed the strong foundation on which she built her future informatics leadership trajectory.
Alongside her extensive professional experience, Meinke holds a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Informatics from Jacksonville University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Florida State College at Jacksonville, reinforcing her expertise at the intersection of technology, business, and healthcare.
