Satchi Dhillon Appointed as Head of People Operations at Westminster City Council

London, United Kingdom, October 2024 – Satchi Dhillon has been appointed as the new Head of People Operations at Westminster City Council. In this role, Satchi will oversee teams responsible for Employee Relations, Recruitment, Payroll, Pensions, Policy, Reward, and Wellbeing. As a key member of the People and Culture Senior Leadership Team, she will also drive strategic initiatives to support Westminster City Council’s goal of becoming a Fairer Westminster.

Before stepping into her new role, Satchi Dhillon served as an HR Business Partner at Westminster City Council for over seven years. During this time, she was a trusted advisor to various directorates, including Growth Planning, Housing, and Innovation and Change. Satchi played a pivotal role in leading staff engagement during the TUPE transfer of CityWestHomes and provided expert HR support for several strategic projects, including restructures and employment tribunals.

Satchi’s career also includes a tenure as a Non-Executive Board Director at Brixton Pound, a community interest company. She contributed to strategic decisions for the organization and led HR initiatives, including drafting new employment contracts and managing staff relations and pensions.

Prior to her time at Westminster City Council, Satchi spent nearly nine years at Notting Hill Housing Group, where she advanced to the role of Senior HR Adviser. In this role, she led change and TUPE programs, supervised HR staff, and was instrumental in implementing new HR systems and reviewing key policies.

Satchi’s earlier experience includes positions as an HR Adviser at Notting Hill Housing Group, where she focused on both relations and resourcing, and a Graduate Trainee at Look Ahead Housing and Care, where she gained foundational experience in HR through placements that involved preparing documentation for audits and managing supported housing schemes.
