Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2025 — Growtheum Capital Partners has appointed Saumya Jambhekar as Vice President, Legal & ESG, strengthening its leadership capability across legal governance, private equity transactions, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) frameworks. In her new role, Saumya will support the firm’s investment strategy across Southeast Asia and India, bringing deep expertise in private equity, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory advisory.
In her current role at Growtheum Capital Partners, Saumya Jambhekar is responsible for leading legal and ESG functions, supporting investment activities and portfolio governance for the Singapore-headquartered private equity firm. Her mandate aligns closely with Growtheum’s focus on responsible investing, regulatory compliance, and long-term value creation across markets.
Prior to this appointment, Saumya served as External General Counsel at Valour Capital, where she assisted the firm on all legal matters including deal structuring, drafting and negotiation of investment documents, and portfolio management. This role further strengthened her exposure to cross-border investment structures and fund operations.
Before joining Valour Capital, Saumya worked as an Independent Counsel for Private Equity, Venture Capital, and M&A, advising HNIs, early- to mid-stage funds, founders, and corporates on acquisitions, investments, acquihires, business transfers, and exits. Her advisory practice spanned complex transactional mandates across multiple sectors.
Earlier in her career, Saumya was part of the Corporate Development legal team at Dream Sports, first as Senior Associate and later as Principal, Legal, where she worked on investments in startups operating in web3, sports tech, fan engagement, and fitness technology. She previously spent over three years with the Piramal Group as part of its M&A Legal team, handling private equity and mergers and acquisitions, particularly within the pharmaceuticals and manufacturing sectors. Her legal foundation was built through roles at AZB & Partners and Veritas Legal, focusing on M&A, private equity, regulatory advisory, and employment law.
