Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, June 2025 — Saurabh Agarwal has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer at redBus, where he will lead the company’s finance functions, including Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Risk and Compliance, Finance Operations, Legal, and Taxation. His appointment marks a strategic move as redBus accelerates its expansion across new markets and product categories with a focus on operational excellence and sustainable growth.
With over two decades of experience, Saurabh brings deep expertise in financial leadership across sectors like healthtech, life insurance, and home interiors. He joins redBus following his tenure as Group CFO at Livspace, where he played a key role in scaling operations internationally and strengthening financial frameworks to support rapid business growth.
Prior to Livspace, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Medlife.com, where he was part of the founding management team and led the finance, legal, compliance, and HR functions, guiding the startup from inception to a $200M+ run-rate business. His ability to build and streamline complex finance structures has been instrumental in several fast-growing organizations.
Earlier, Saurabh spent over 11 years at Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, where he held leadership roles including AVP – Distribution Planning & Strategy, Senior Manager – Finance, and Manager – Planning and Strategy. During this period, he was instrumental in driving strategic projects like large-scale branch expansions, IFRS implementation, and Oracle ERP deployment.
Saurabh is a Chartered Accountant from ICAI, holds a CIMA qualification from London, and is an alumnus of INSEAD. His comprehensive understanding of financial ecosystems and growth strategy makes him well-positioned to support redBus’s mission of reimagining travel through technology.
