Aimargues, Occitanie, France, September 2025 – Sebati Iyengar has been promoted to Global Strategic Capabilities Director at Royal Canin, the petcare division of Mars. This new role will see him drive capability-building and strategic people initiatives aligned with Royal Canin’s mission of “Health Through Nutrition,” supporting its global operations and future growth.
Sebati has been with Royal Canin for more than four years. Most recently, she served as Global Demand People and Organization Director, partnering with business leaders across Sales, Marketing, and Corporate Affairs in over 20 countries. In this role, she advanced transformation, talent pipelines, and capability development, while also leading global talent initiatives for all demand functions. Earlier, she was People and Organization Director for Royal Canin India, where she was part of the leadership team, driving diversity, digitization of HR processes, governance, and succession initiatives.
Before joining Mars, Sebati spent nearly three years with the Godrej Group, where she was Talent Acquisition Lead for the People Experience Centre at GILAC and later Head of HR at Creamline Dairy Pvt Ltd (a subsidiary of Godrej Agrovet). In these roles, she led leadership hiring across businesses, drove organizational transformation, built a fit-for-purpose HR team, and strengthened HR governance, rewards, and diversity initiatives.
Earlier, Sebati spent almost seven years with Asian Paints, where she held roles including Head of Talent Acquisition, HR Lead for Sleek and Ess Ess Bathroom Fittings, and Sales HR Business Partner. She spearheaded employer branding, campus hiring, leadership development, and large-scale organizational design and integration efforts for acquired businesses.
She began her career at Wipro Limited, where she served as an HR Business Partner, supporting over 1,000 employees and leading initiatives around onboarding, leadership integration, diversity, and people transitions during mergers. Her academic foundation includes an M.A. in Human Resource Management and Labour Relations from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).
