Gurgaon, Haryana,India, February 2026 — Senjam Raj Sekhar has joined Air India Limited as Global Head of Communications, bringing with him over two decades of global corporate communications leadership across aviation, telecom, technology, gaming, and diversified conglomerates.
In his new role, Senjam will lead Air India’s global communications mandate at a pivotal time in the airline’s transformation journey under the stewardship of the Tata Group. He will be responsible for shaping corporate reputation, global narrative strategy, policy engagement, media relations, and stakeholder communications as the airline evolves into a world-class global carrier with an Indian heart.
Prior to this appointment, Senjam served as Head – Global Communications at Mobile Premier League (MPL), where he led communications for M-League across six continents. During his tenure, he steered the company’s voice through complex regulatory environments and competitive landscapes, balancing corporate reputation, public affairs, and market positioning. Campaigns under his leadership earned multiple recognitions, including Platinum for Best PR Campaign at the 2023 SABRE South Asia Awards, ET Kaleidoscope Awards (2022 & 2023), and Fulcrum Masters of Technique Gold (2023 & 2024). MPL was also recognised as Asia Pacific Company of the Year and South Asia Company of the Year at SABRE Awards under his communications stewardship.
Earlier, Senjam headed Corporate Communications at Flipkart, where he launched “Flipkart Stories,” one of India’s pioneering owned media platforms, shaping corporate storytelling and crisis management frameworks. He also served as Director & Head – Group Corporate Communications at Vedanta Resources Limited, overseeing global communications for the FTSE 100-listed group, and as Senior Vice President & Head – Group Corporate Communications at Bharti Enterprises, leading communications across multiple group companies including Bharti Airtel across 20 countries.
His career also includes leadership roles at Samsung Electronics, Burson-Marsteller, and Weber Shandwick, where he built expertise in corporate positioning, public affairs, crisis communications, and global brand strategy.
With this appointment, Air India strengthens its leadership bench as it accelerates its global repositioning and brand transformation.
