Before joining Standard Chartered Bank, Shadi A. Zamka spent more than eight years at Bank Aljazira, where he rose through several leadership positions within the HR function. Most recently, he served as Senior Human Resources Business Partner, where he played a pivotal role in aligning HR strategy with organizational goals. He worked closely with senior leadership to drive workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning while championing initiatives in employee relations, organizational development, and digital HR transformation.

Prior to this, he held the position of Senior Organizational Culture Manager at Bank Aljazira, where he led programs to foster engagement, inclusion, and cultural alignment. Earlier, as Organizational Culture Manager, Shadi pioneered the establishment of the Culture Department at the bank, designing frameworks for employee engagement, recognition, and internal communication that significantly improved workplace morale and alignment with business objectives.

Earlier in his tenure at Bank Aljazira, Shadi served as Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), leading initiatives in workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, and compensation design. His contributions in these roles earned him recognition for his ability to bridge business and people strategies, supporting sustained organizational growth and operational excellence.

Before joining Bank Aljazira, Shadi gained early-career HR experience at GfK and Isam Khairi Kabbani Group, where he worked as an HR Generalist, managing HR operations, payroll, and employee relations. These formative roles helped him develop a strong foundation in HR administration and labor relations that have shaped his approach as a strategic people leader.
