Pune, Maharashtra, India, October 2025 — Shailesh Sharma has been appointed as the Managing Director of SKF ISEA Limited (Automotive Business). With a career spanning more than three decades, he has been a cornerstone of SKF ISEA India for the past 17 years, contributing significantly to the company’s growth through his leadership in operations, manufacturing, and engineering. His appointment reflects SKF’s continued commitment to advancing its automotive business with innovation and sustainability at the core.

At SKF India, Shailesh has held several key roles, including Director – Operations, Factory Manager (Pune and Bangalore), and Head of Manufacturing Engineering. During this period, he played a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, spearheading capacity expansion, leading technology transfers, and overseeing process development initiatives that strengthened SKF’s manufacturing capabilities.

Before his long tenure at SKF India, Shailesh built a strong foundation at National Engineering Industries Ltd. (NBC Bearings), where he spent more than 11 years working across product design, process engineering, and production development. His focus on process improvement and technology transfer from global partners added immense value to the organization’s operational efficiency.

Earlier in his career, he gained experience at Gajra Gears Pvt. Ltd., where he began his professional journey as a shift production engineer, developing expertise in gear manufacturing and production processes. This early exposure provided him with the practical grounding to build a successful career in manufacturing leadership.

Shailesh’s academic background complements his professional journey. He holds an Executive MBA in General Management from Symbiosis International University, with specializations covering operations, finance, HR, and marketing. His blend of academic excellence and hands-on industry experience has shaped him into a seasoned leader prepared to guide SKF ISEA Limited’s automotive business toward future growth and innovation.
