Toronto, Ontario, Canada, October 2024 — Dream has announced the appointment of Shannon Meijer as the new Vice President, People & Culture, a critical role in shaping the company’s workforce strategy. In this capacity, Shannon will lead all HR functions, focusing on people development, organizational culture, and talent management across Dream’s operations.
Before joining Dream, Shannon Meijer was the Vice President of Human Resources at Contract Pharmaceuticals Limited for approximately four years. During her tenure, she was responsible for overseeing HR operations and driving initiatives in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational development.
Earlier, she served as Country Head, Human Resources at CONMED Corporation for around two and a half years, where she played a pivotal role in leading HR strategy across Canada. Her expertise in human resources at the national level contributed significantly to CONMED’s operational success in the region.
Shannon also had a remarkable 17-year tenure at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), where she held multiple senior HR roles. These included Director, Change Communications & Learning and Director, HR Services & Employee Wellness. During her time at GSK, Shannon was instrumental in executing large-scale organizational transformations, including a global Workday implementation and initiatives to enhance employee wellness.
In the earlier part of her career at GSK, Shannon took on key roles such as Manager, Total Rewards & Talent Acquisition and Manager, Talent Management, providing leadership in workforce planning, performance management, and talent acquisition strategies.
