Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2025 — JSW Group has announced the appointment of Shilpi Lal Sharma as Head – Talent, Learning & Development and DEI, strengthening its leadership in people strategy and capability building. In her new role, Shilpi will spearhead the Group’s talent strategy, learning architecture, leadership development initiatives, and diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) agenda, aligning with JSW’s long-term organisational growth and sustainability goals.
With more than two decades of experience across multiple industries, Shilpi brings proven expertise in organisation development, leadership capability building, and strategic talent management. Her career reflects a deep commitment to fostering inclusive workplaces and building future-ready leaders.
Before joining JSW Group, Shilpi served as Head HR – Welspun Retail and Head L&OD & Talent – Welspun Living Limited, where she designed and implemented comprehensive talent and learning frameworks that enhanced business alignment and employee experience. Previously, as Head – OD & Talent at NSE India, she built the Organisation Development and Talent function from the ground up, leading initiatives in learning strategy, leadership development, succession planning, and talent architecture.
Earlier, Shilpi held key leadership positions at Edelweiss Global Wealth Management, Aditya Birla Group (UltraTech), and Actavis Pharmaceuticals (now Allergan). At UltraTech, she envisioned and launched the pioneering Sales & Services Academy covering more than 8,000 employees across multiple verticals, earning the PRIDE Award for delivering excellence in capability building. At Actavis, she led Learning & Development and Talent Management across the Asia-Pacific region and played a global integration role during the Watson–Actavis merger.
Shilpi’s early professional journey includes impactful tenures at Performance Consulting International, SRF Limited, Vodafone, GE Capital, and Trent Ltd., where she built a strong foundation in learning, behavioural skills, and customer engagement. Her comprehensive exposure across sectors has shaped her into a strategic HR leader passionate about driving learning-driven culture and inclusive growth.
