Gurgaon, Haryana, India, December 2025 – Shipra Sharma has been promoted to Director – Colleague & Labor Relations at American Express. In her current role as Director – Colleague & Labor Relations at American Express, Shipra Sharma leads the Colleague & Labor Relations (CLR) agenda with a strategic, enterprise-aligned approach. Her promotion recognizes more than a decade of sustained impact in building robust governance, driving a strong “Speaking Up” culture, and managing complex, high-risk employee relations matters with rigor and empathy.

Immediately prior, she served as Manager – APAC, Colleague & Labor Relations, where she led multi-market CLR capabilities across ANZ, Hong Kong, and the Philippines, governing sensitive investigations and ensuring compliance with local labor laws while mitigating reputational risk through consistent, principled decision-making.

Earlier, Shipra Sharma held the role of Manager – Employee & Labor Relations at American Express, where she was instrumental in establishing the CLR function for India in 2012 and transitioning employee relations into a strategic, enterprise-aligned capability. She created policy and governance frameworks aligned to global CLR standards and Indian labor law, led high-risk investigations including POSH, harassment, discrimination, and misconduct cases, and partnered closely with Legal, Compliance, and business leaders to embed CLR as a trusted advisory function.

Before joining American Express, she built a strong foundation in employee relations through HR roles at WNS Global Services, Spanco BPO, and Hyper Quality India Pvt. Ltd., gaining hands-on experience in grievance handling, compliance, engagement, and frontline HR operations across large workforces.
