Shiraz brings a robust background in blockchain and fintech, previously serving as the Chief Operating Officer at a Confidential Crypto Exchange, from April 2022 to May 2024, where he was instrumental in developing a blockchain payments ecosystem, incorporating crypto exchange and stablecoin solutions. His leadership in these roles emphasized innovation in financial operations and mobile payments, contributing significantly to business growth and strategic development.

Prior to this role, Shiraz was the Chief Operating Officer at Coindirect, where from January 2020 to January 2022, he successfully transformed the retail crypto exchange into a B2B crypto banking ecosystem. This initiative included expanding services to include cross-border remittance and crypto merchant payment gateway services, which significantly enhanced the company’s profitability and market presence.

Before joining Coindirect, Shiraz was the CEO of TechToPay, from April 2018 to December 2019, where he developed a global payment service platform that optimized merchant payment acceptance internationally. His strategic leadership in operations management and financial services was pivotal in enhancing the company’s technological capabilities and customer service delivery.

Shiraz also had a notable tenure at Payment Cloud Technologies (later acquired by OMNIO), serving as the Director of Operations from January 2016 to January 2017. Here, he played a crucial role in launching a Banking-as-a-Service platform, which significantly impacted digital banking and embedded financial services.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership.
