Singapore, Singapore, January 2026 – Colorcon® has announced the appointment of Shirley Qi as Managing Director – NESEA (North East & South East Asia), strengthening its regional leadership as the global pharmaceutical excipients and formulation technology leader accelerates its growth across Asia-Pacific markets. In her new role, Shirley assumes full P&L responsibility across China, Japan, Korea, South East Asia and Australia, driving strategic expansion, innovation partnerships and customer-centric growth across the region.
Shirley joins Colorcon after a distinguished global leadership career spanning more than thirteen years with Evonik, where she most recently served as Senior Vice President – Evonik Tailor Made Projects and earlier as President – South East Asia, Australia & New Zealand and Head of Nutrition & Care Asia Pacific. She played a critical role in leading major investment, R&D and growth initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region.
Earlier at Evonik, Shirley held senior leadership positions including Vice President – Head of Procurement Asia Pacific, Vice President – Head of Procurement North Asia, and Director – Controlling & Strategy Procurement Asia, where she built region-wide procurement, compliance, sustainability and performance governance frameworks across China, Japan, Korea and South East Asia.
Beyond corporate leadership, Shirley served as President of the Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce and President Asia of TfS – Together for Sustainability AISBL, where she drove sustainability, responsible procurement and global audit frameworks across multinational chemical industry ecosystems.
She began her professional journey as a Senior Consultant at Baker Tilly Germany, advising major European corporates on procurement optimization and cost transformation.
