New Delhi, Delhi, India, December 2025 – Shobha Mishra Ghosh has taken on a prestigious new role as Chief Advocacy & Policy Advisor, India & South Asia at GE HealthCare India. With an extensive background in public policy, regulatory affairs, and strategic leadership, she will spearhead advocacy initiatives, lead key policy engagements at both national and state levels, and strengthen stakeholder alignment for shaping critical frameworks across the healthcare sector.

Before stepping into her current advisory role, Shobha Mishra Ghosh served as Director & Head, Government Affairs & Policy, India & South Asia at GE HealthCare, where she led strategic policy engagement and government advocacy for nearly five years. Her work involved liaising with both national and international policymakers including the Government of India, State Governments, and US lawmakers.

Prior to GE HealthCare, Shobha held a 15-year tenure at FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry), where she rose to the role of Assistant Secretary General. Her portfolio spanned MedTech, pharma, health services, health insurance, public health, education, and skill development. She played a key role in shaping multiple landmark national reforms including the National Health Policy, Medical Devices Rules (2017), Drugs, Medical Devices & Cosmetics Bill (2023), and the National Digital Health Blueprint.

During her time at FICCI, she also led influential research programs such as the Future of Jobs and Future Skills, which examined the impact of global megatrends on employment and education. Her insights have contributed significantly to India’s workforce development and industrial policy across sectors.

Beyond her leadership in industry bodies, Shobha has served on several boards and steering committees, including NABH (QCI), IRDAI, NMDPC, EPCMD, and academic boards of Delhi Technological University and Delhi University. She has represented India on global platforms such as the World Bank, OECD, UNESCO, and BRICS, and is frequently invited to speak at international conferences and contribute to key publications.
