Pune, Maharashtra, India, July 2025 — Shree Mahapatra has been promoted to Head of Talent Acquisition – India Lateral and Global Leadership at Wipro, one of the world’s leading technology services and consulting firms. In this expanded role, Shree will be responsible for overseeing Wipro’s strategic lateral hiring across India as well as leadership recruitment initiatives on a global scale.
Shree brings to this position a rich blend of talent acquisition expertise and leadership acumen honed over more than 17 years in the HR domain. Since joining Wipro in 2019, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s executive hiring strategy, most recently serving as Director – Strategic Leadership Hiring, where she led efforts to attract senior talent aligned with Wipro’s innovation and transformation vision.
Before rejoining Wipro, Shree served as Head of Recruitments – Global Sales Group, Products and Security at Tata Communications, where she managed end-to-end hiring across regions including Europe, the US, APAC, and India. Her role covered diverse verticals from global marketing to advanced technology services such as cloud, IoT, and cybersecurity.
Earlier, she held the position of Head of Asset Management & Financial Services – HR at AXA, where she partnered with business COEs to streamline staffing strategies, optimize cost-per-hire, and bolster the company’s talent brand through innovative sourcing initiatives. Her experience also includes an earlier eight-year stint at Wipro Ltd, where she led staffing for the Capital Markets vertical across India.
