Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, January 2026 — Shweta Ramchandani has taken on a new role as Vice President and Head, External Communications at Citi India, where she will lead the organization’s external communications agenda, strengthening stakeholder engagement, brand reputation, and media relations in the Indian market.
In her new position at Citi India, Shweta is responsible for driving strategic external communications, advising senior leadership, and ensuring consistent, high-impact messaging aligned with Citi’s long-term business priorities and its commitment to India. Her role encompasses media relations, thought leadership, reputation management, and communications governance across the institution.
Prior to joining Citi India, Shweta served as Vice President, Corporate Communications at Nomura in Mumbai. During her tenure, she worked closely with leadership teams on corporate communications strategy, executive communications, and stakeholder engagement within a global financial services environment.
Earlier, she held the role of Marketing and Communications Manager at Cisco through Channel Impact in Toronto, Canada, where she focused on integrated marketing and communications programs, leadership communications, change management, and strategic storytelling in a global technology context.
Shweta previously spent over four years at WTW, where she worked across marketing and communication functions, building expertise in employer branding, internal and external communications, diversity and inclusion communications, and media relations. Her career also includes a stint as Senior Manager, Marketing and Communication at Sutherland, where she supported international communication initiatives and leadership engagement.
Earlier in her career, Shweta was Manager, Communications & Brand Management at CRISIL, leading public relations, crisis communications, CEO communications, and brand management initiatives. She began her professional journey in public relations with Adfactors PR, managing BFSI clients and gaining strong foundational experience in media relations and crisis communication.
Shweta holds a Master of Science in Communication Management and Public Relations from Manipal Academy of Higher Education and a Bachelor of Commerce from Banaras Hindu University.
