SANTIAGO, Chile — In a strategic move to strengthen its position in the renewable energy market, SOLARPACK has announced the appointment of Jose Luis Garcia Perez as the CEO of its Latin America business unit. This decision underscores the company’s commitment to expanding its solar, wind, and energy storage projects across the region.
Leonardo Moreno, Chief Executive Officer of SOLARPACK, highlighted the company’s ambitious plan to develop five Business Units, each with the potential to evolve into billion-euro enterprises. These units span South Europe, Germany, the United States, Latin America, and India, with the Latin America sector now under the experienced leadership of Jose Luis Garcia Perez.
Perez, previously SOLARPACK’s global Chief Development Officer and head of EPC, has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth. His promotion to CEO of the Latin America business, headquartered in Santiago, Chile, is a testament to his exceptional leadership skills and contributions to SOLARPACK’s expansion.
The Latin America division boasts a robust project pipeline of 5 GW across solar, wind, and energy storage, with 850 MW contracted and nearly 600 MW already operational or under construction. Perez’s leadership will be crucial in achieving the business’s operational and growth objectives.
