Yerevan, Armenia, September 2024 – Sona Ghukasyan has taken on the role of Head of Human Resources at the Information Systems Agency of Armenia. In this capacity, Sona will lead all aspects of human resources management, focusing on talent acquisition, employee development, and organizational growth, driving strategic initiatives to support Armenia’s transformation into a digital society.
Prior to joining the Information Systems Agency, Sona served as Head of Human Resources at Teach For Armenia for over four years. In this role, she played a key part in building HR processes, ensuring the organization followed world-class HR practices while nurturing a strong talent pipeline. Her contributions were critical as the organization transitioned from a startup phase to an established institution.
Before becoming Head of HR, Sona held various roles at Teach For Armenia, including HR and Operations Manager, where she oversaw operational processes and staff development, and Operations and Finance Coordinator, where she contributed to the financial and operational structuring of the organization. Sona’s career began at Teach For Armenia as an Operations and Finance Specialist, providing crucial support to the organization’s growth.
