Singapore, July 2025 — Sona Rai Aggarwal has been appointed as Managing Director at Cushman & Wakefield, where she will lead retail strategy and sales across Asia-Pacific, bringing her extensive global experience and proven leadership capabilities to the forefront of the firm’s regional operations.

With over 25 years of cross-border leadership experience across Asia, the United States, and Australia, Sona has built a distinguished career in retail, brand management, and business strategy. Her strategic vision and operational excellence have consistently delivered results across luxury, lifestyle, and beauty categories.

Before joining Cushman & Wakefield, Sona served as Managing Director/GM Asia at Laser Clinics Australia, a KKR portfolio company, where she led business operations and brand expansion across the region. She also held prominent roles at Valiram, overseeing Victoria’s Secret & Co. and Bath & Body Works portfolios in the Asia-Pacific, where she spearheaded rapid market growth, localization strategies, and omni-channel transformation.

Earlier in her career, she held pivotal buying and merchandising roles at global retail icons such as Ann Taylor, Victoria’s Secret Direct, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Macy’s in the U.S., as well as at DFS Group and F J Benjamin in Asia. Her breadth of experience gives her a unique lens to approach customer engagement, channel development, and real estate strategy with a commercial and consumer-centric mindset.

A graduate of Wharton’s Executive Education program, Sona is recognized for her ability to scale businesses, lead diverse teams, and champion inclusive, performance-driven cultures. At Cushman & Wakefield, she will focus on driving retail growth across Asia-Pacific, helping clients navigate transformation in an evolving consumer landscape.
