Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, July 2025 — Bala Vummidi has been appointed as Senior Vice President & Head of Human Resources at Gorilla Technology Group, a strategic leadership move aligned with the company’s focus on strengthening its global people strategy. Bala will spearhead HR transformation, talent development, and organizational agility across geographies, driving a robust people-first culture for innovation and growth.
Bala brings over 20 years of experience in human resources, having worked across global technology firms, consulting ventures, and entrepreneurial environments. Prior to this appointment, he served as Vice President & Head HR at SRM Technologies, where he led digital HR transformation, talent architecture, and workforce planning for high-growth initiatives across India. His leadership was instrumental in aligning people practices with business goals during a pivotal scale-up phase.
Before SRM Technologies, he held senior roles at Turnkey Talent Solutions Pvt. Ltd., including as AVP – Talent and Strategy and Director – Talent and Strategy, where he enabled executive talent programs and strategic workforce initiatives. Earlier in his career, Bala served as Director HR India Operations at Diamondpick, and Director – Operations at People Prime Worldwide, driving strategic hiring solutions, HR analytics, and operational excellence.
He spent a significant part of his HR journey at Cognizant Technology Solutions, where he contributed for 8 years across various HR functions. His early experience includes impactful roles at Sundaram Business Services, Tata Consultancy Services, and Marks and Spencer, where he shaped foundational HR strategies across recruitment, training, employee engagement, and performance management.
