London, United Kingdom, March 2026 — Sonovate has announced the appointment of Tom Wilson as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Based in the London area, Wilson will lead the company’s finance agenda as Sonovate continues to scale its finance and payment solutions for the contingent labour market, supporting consultancies, recruitment businesses, and labour marketplaces globally.
Wilson steps into the CFO role after building a strong track record across risk, compliance, and governance leadership within Sonovate. Most recently, he served as Chief Risk and Compliance Officer from January 2024 to March 2026, following over five years as Head of Risk & Compliance between November 2018 and January 2024. Across these roles, he focused on strengthening the control environment and supporting business resilience as the organization expanded.
Prior to joining Sonovate, Wilson was Global Risk Manager at Assurant, where he helped implement a global risk framework and stress testing approach, and supported enterprise-wide risk processes including ORSA and capital reporting. Earlier, he held senior risk leadership responsibilities as European Head of Risk (CF28/SIMF4) and also worked with Blue Square Advisory Ltd as a Director, supporting clients in building and embedding enterprise risk frameworks.
Wilson began his career in risk and financial services with roles at Direct Line Group, and earlier with NatWest, building foundational experience in financial services operations before progressing into enterprise risk leadership.
