Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, April 2025 – Sree Harsha Madabhushi has stepped into a new leadership role as Senior Vice President at Commonwealth Bank, Australia’s leading financial services institution. Based in Bengaluru, Harsha will be spearheading strategic initiatives in data engineering, AI integration, and platform architecture, aligning with the bank’s innovation-first approach to global banking.
Prior to this appointment, Harsha served as Associate Vice President at Jio, where he was instrumental in building and scaling infrastructure automation and leading the transition to Azure Data Mesh Architecture for key business verticals. His leadership enabled the transformation of data platforms across refining, supply chain, finance, and exploration domains, significantly accelerating operational insights and business outcomes.
Before Jio, he held the role of Director of Data Engineering at Red Ventures, where he led cloud migration efforts, architected scalable data platforms, and championed performance-focused engineering practices. His tenure included the successful implementation of graph-based customer interaction models and large-scale AWS-based data warehousing systems.
Harsha also contributed significantly at Premier Inc. and TIAA, where he managed critical projects around master data management, enterprise data warehousing, and data analytics. His career began with impactful roles in organizations like MetLife, LPL Financial, and Weyerhaeuser, showcasing over 15 years of experience in data engineering, cloud computing, and leadership.
