Hyderabad, Telangana, India, November 2025 — Novartis has announced the appointment of Sreeman Balineni as Executive Director, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished career of over two decades in technology leadership, data engineering, and large-scale digital transformation.
In his new role, Sreeman will lead the advancement of next-generation digital and data capabilities across Novartis’ global commercial and enterprise ecosystems. He brings deep expertise in cloud computing, big data analytics, enterprise platforms, and AI-driven transformation, positioning him to strengthen Novartis’ digital backbone and accelerate innovation in life sciences technology.
Prior to this appointment, Sreeman served as Senior Director & GCC India Head – Commercial Technology at GSK, where he led complex technology modernization programs, data lake architectures, and digital engineering initiatives supporting multiple business verticals. His leadership was instrumental in advancing commercial technology solutions, building robust data ecosystems, and enhancing operational scalability across geographies.
Before joining GSK, Sreeman spent over eight years at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he rose to Senior Director of Software Engineering after serving as Vice President. During his tenure, he managed global teams delivering enterprise-scale cloud and data solutions, integrating AWS, Python, Apache Spark, and big data ecosystems to support mission-critical banking operations and analytics infrastructure.
Earlier in his career, Sreeman held key technology leadership positions at Bank of America and Tech Mahindra. At Bank of America, he led Hadoop cluster administration and data lake enablement, integrating large-scale analytics environments and optimizing enterprise data platforms for discovery analytics. His decade-long journey at Tech Mahindra as Senior Technical Architect honed his expertise in software development, communication technologies, and scalable architecture design, laying the groundwork for his future leadership in digital transformation.
With specialized proficiency in Veeva CRM & Vault, Delta Lakes, Big Data Analytics, AWS, and enterprise engineering frameworks, Sreeman combines technical depth with strategic foresight. His ability to bridge technology and business transformation makes him a valuable addition to Novartis’ global leadership team as it continues to reimagine medicine through innovation and data-driven insights.
