Singapore, March 2025 — Sriram Musunuri has been elevated to the role of Global Head of Sustainability at Shell Aviation, bringing with him over two decades of leadership experience in the energy sector. Having led several business transformations and P&L growth initiatives within Shell’s Downstream businesses, Sriram will now drive Shell’s aviation sustainability strategy, focusing on decarbonization and the adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). He will also spearhead the deployment of Avelia, Shell’s blockchain-powered book-and-claim platform, aimed at accelerating the industry’s transition to net-zero emissions.
Sriram has held multiple leadership roles across Shell, most recently serving as General Manager for Construction & Road in Asia and the Middle East, where he had P&L responsibility for a $1 billion B2B business. Prior to that, he was Global Head for Strategy & Marketing in Shell’s Polyurethanes business, driving profitability and establishing decarbonization roadmaps across global operations. His earlier roles include leading Shell’s petrochemicals business across Asia Pacific and heading global marketing for the Solvents business.
Sriram began his journey at Shell as Customer Center Manager and went on to manage complex supply chain operations, marine logistics, and commercial teams. Before Shell, he held petroleum engineering roles at Cairn Energy and Schlumberger, managing field operations and technical service delivery in India.
With his deep experience in business strategy, sustainability leadership, and P&L execution, Sriram is poised to accelerate Shell Aviation’s commitment to powering progress through cleaner energy solutions.
