Srishti Sethi Appointed as Group Chief Risk Officer at Kotak Mahindra Bank

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2025 – Kotak Mahindra Bank has announced the appointment of Srishti Sethi as the new Group Chief Risk Officer (GCRO), effective June 12, 2025. Alongside her new role, she will also serve as a Designated Senior Management Personnel for a tenure of five years. This key leadership move underscores Kotak’s commitment to strengthening its risk governance and enterprise-wide risk framework in a dynamic regulatory and market environment.

With a distinguished career spanning over 30 years in enterprise risk, credit risk, banking, and wealth management, Srishti Sethi brings an exceptional depth of experience to her new role. She is widely acknowledged for her ability to lead risk transformation agendas, drive operational excellence, and embed a culture of proactive risk management.

Prior to this appointment, Srishti Sethi served as Chief Risk Officer at Hero FinCorp, where she was instrumental in driving end-to-end enterprise risk strategy for over five years. Her leadership helped the organization embed a comprehensive risk framework aligned with business growth and regulatory expectations.

Before Hero FinCorp, she held the position of Chief Risk Officer at IDFC FIRST Bank, where she led significant transformation in risk and credit governance. Her earlier role as Head of Enterprise Risk Management at IDFC Bank further highlighted her capabilities in building scalable, robust risk management systems across functions.

Earlier, Sethi worked with Bank of America’s Global Delivery Center, where she spent nearly eight years as Senior Vice President – Global Operations & Risk Leader. In this role, she managed complex regulatory relationships, led multiple risk audits with federal bodies, and established state-of-the-art compliance dashboards and key risk indicators that significantly improved operational resilience and partner confidence.

She began her career in credit and corporate finance with GE Capital, where she served as Vice President – Credit Risk, and later with Associates, where she worked on corporate debt products and risk assessment in the commercial business space.
