In this role, she will align recruitment strategies with the distinctive needs of Bloomberg’s globally influential News, Media, and Research businesses, strengthening the organization’s ability to attract world-class talent across journalism, content, and analytical domains.
With more than two decades of experience in talent acquisition and employer branding across premier media and technology organizations, Stacey Olive brings deep expertise in global recruiting strategy, leadership hiring, diversity recruitment, and building high-performing talent functions.
Prior to joining Bloomberg, Stacey Olive served for over four years as Vice President – Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding at Medidata Solutions, where she led global hiring strategy and employer value proposition initiatives. Her mandate included executive search, global mobility, and scaling recruitment operations to support the company’s rapid growth in the life-sciences technology sector.
Before Medidata, she spent nearly five years at The New York Times, first as Executive Director, Talent Acquisition and later as Vice President, Talent Acquisition. During this period, Stacey played a pivotal role in modernizing recruitment practices for one of the world’s most respected media institutions, strengthening leadership hiring, diversity pipelines, and global mobility frameworks while supporting the Times’ digital transformation.
Earlier in her career, Stacey held the role of Director, Human Resources at Time Inc. for nearly seven years. She established company-wide standards in behavioral interviewing, designed proactive sourcing strategies, and built a knowledgeable recruiter ecosystem aligned with business growth plans. Her tenure was marked by strong partnerships with editorial and commercial leaders to ensure hiring clarity, metrics discipline, and succession planning.
Stacey began her professional journey in legal and technical recruitment, serving as Director of Operations at Peak Counsel and Lead Technical Recruiter at Global Systems Staffing, where she managed full-lifecycle recruitment for specialized professional talent across technology and legal domains.
