New Britain, Connecticut, United States, September 2025 — Stanley Black & Decker (NYSE: SWK) has announced the appointment of Bill Beck as President, Tools & Outdoor, effective October 1, 2025. In this capacity, Beck will be responsible for optimizing the company’s portfolio of powerful brands and products, while spearheading strategic initiatives to drive growth and operational excellence across the $13.4 billion Tools & Outdoor division.
Beck currently serves as General Manager and Chief Growth Officer, Tools & Outdoor, where he has played a pivotal role in evolving the division into a brand-led, market-back, and data-driven business. His leadership has been instrumental in sharpening market strategy, enhancing sales momentum, and advancing brand positioning.

With more than 25 years of experience in product management and brand marketing, Beck brings a deep understanding of consumer engagement and business growth. Prior to joining Stanley Black & Decker in 2024, he served as Chief Marketing Officer at Elevance Health, where he led a multi-year brand strategy transition. Previously, he spent nearly a decade at Whirlpool Corporation, overseeing brand marketing and product strategy for its North American kitchen business and leading global brand strategy as Chair of the Whirlpool Global Brand Council.
Beck began his career at Pepperidge Farm, spending 11 years in various sales and marketing roles. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from New York University.
