Bentonville, Arkansas, United States, September 2025 – Stephanie Hunter has been elevated to Group Director – People Partner, WMUS Stores, Southeast at Walmart. In this leadership role, she will guide people strategy, talent development, and organizational support for Walmart’s Southeast U.S. stores, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission to help people save money and live better.
Stephanie has been with Walmart for more than 23 years, most recently serving as Group Director, Global Talent Acquisition Enablement. Before this, she was Senior Director, People Operations & Strategic Initiatives and earlier Senior Director – People Services | Quality Assurance & Immigration Services, where she led global teams ensuring process excellence, compliance, and people-focused service delivery.
Earlier in her career at Walmart, she held several director-level roles including Director of HR and Advisory Services, Director of Recruiting Services – Global Business Solutions, and Sr. Business Relationship Manager, People Services – Recruiting Partner. She also served as Director, Campus Relations and Talent Outreach, where she managed Walmart’s robust internship program and spearheaded diversity recruitment initiatives with leading academic and professional organizations.
Stephanie’s journey at Walmart began in 2002, progressing from Recruiting Coordinator to leadership positions such as Executive Recruiter, IT Senior Recruiter Manager, Senior Manager – Corporate Recruiting, Sr. Manager – Sam’s Corporate Recruiting, and Senior Manager – Corporate Recruiting. Each role expanded her expertise in recruitment, talent outreach, and HR strategy, solidifying her career-long impact on Walmart’s people operations.
