New Delhi, Delhi, India, June 2024 – Sumit Kumar Bhat has joined Shapoorji Pallonji – Engineering & Construction (SP E&C) as the new Regional Head of Human Resources. With a robust background in HR management across various industries, Sumit brings valuable expertise to the team, aiming to enhance the company’s HR strategies and initiatives.
Sumit Kumar Bhat has recently begun his role as the Regional Head of Human Resources at Shapoorji Pallonji – Engineering & Construction (SP E&C). Based in New Delhi, India, Sumit will oversee HR operations and initiatives to support the company’s growth and maintain its high standards of health, safety, and environmental practices.
Prior to this, Sumit served as the HR Lead at Tata Projects for nearly two years, based in Jammu & Kashmir, India. In this role, he was responsible for leading HR functions and ensuring effective HR practices across the region.
Before his tenure at Tata Projects, Sumit worked at Shapoorji Pallonji Group for over seven years, where he held various positions including Assistant General Manager, Senior Manager (HR/IR/ADMIN), and Manager (Personnel & IR). His contributions in these roles were instrumental in driving HR and administrative initiatives, particularly in the challenging regions of Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
Sumit also gained significant experience at IL&FS Transportation Limited, where he served as Deputy Manager HR/ADMIN and Assistant Manager (HR/ADMIN/IR). During his four and a half years there, he managed HR and administrative functions, contributing to the company’s growth and operational efficiency.
Earlier in his career, Sumit worked at HDFC Bank for nearly three years, where he held the positions of Senior Officer and Officer (ADMIN/IR). His responsibilities included guest house management, vehicle management, vendor management, and various administrative tasks.
