Gurugram, Haryana, India, January 2026 – JWIL Infra Limited has announced the appointment of Ms. Sunita Thakur Kohli as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In her new role, she will lead Human Resources, Administration, Communications, and CSR, strengthening the organization’s people strategy as it accelerates growth in the water and wastewater sector. She joins JWIL after an exceptional three-decade career with SUEZ India, bringing over 33 years of cross-functional leadership experience across India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
Prior to joining JWIL Infra Limited, Sunita Thakur Kohli served as Senior Vice President – Human Resources, Admin & Communications at SUEZ India for nearly five years. In this role, she led enterprise-wide HR transformation, communications strategy, and administrative governance for one of the world’s leading water management organizations. Her leadership focused on building high-performance teams, strengthening inclusion and diversity frameworks, and aligning people strategy with business growth across the South Asian region.
Earlier, she held the position of Vice President – HR, Admin & Communications at SUEZ India for over five years, where she headed the HR function for the Business Area India. During this period, she played a pivotal role in talent development, organizational design, leadership capability building, and digital transformation initiatives. She was instrumental in embedding global HR practices and fostering a culture of operational excellence across multi-site operations.
Before transitioning fully into HR leadership, Sunita Thakur Kohli held diverse business and operational roles at Degremont Ltd. (SUEZ Group) for over 14 years. As Deputy General Manager, she led internal audits, client satisfaction programs, and management dashboards while contributing to quality, health, and safety initiatives. In earlier assignments as Senior Manager – Sales & Business Development, she managed bid strategies, commercial analytics, and market intelligence, helping launch the industrial business line in India.
In the initial phase of her career, she contributed directly to plant operations and engineering functions at Degremont as Plant Manager (O&M Division), Commissioning Manager, and Senior Research Officer. These roles gave her deep domain expertise in the water and wastewater industry, exposure to statutory compliance, crisis management, and people development at project sites—foundations that later shaped her holistic approach to HR leadership.
