Hyderabad, Telangana, India, October 2025 — Surya Kambhampati has joined People Media Factory as VFX Head, bringing over two decades of extensive experience in visual effects, animation, and production leadership. In his new role, Surya will lead the VFX division to deliver world-class cinematic visuals and drive innovation across the studio’s feature film and digital projects. His deep expertise in creative supervision and technical excellence positions him to play a key role in shaping the studio’s visual storytelling journey.
Before joining People Media Factory, Surya served as VFX Head at Deccan Dreams LLP, where he led a range of high-profile projects and established the studio’s reputation for quality-driven VFX delivery. His leadership ensured smooth coordination between creative and production teams while maintaining the highest standards of visual fidelity.
Earlier, Surya was associated with Pixelloid Studios as Head of Production, where he oversaw animation pipelines, project management, and delivery excellence. His ability to bridge creative artistry with technical precision made him a valuable leader in driving client satisfaction and creative outcomes.
Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade at ReDefine as VFX Head & Senior VFX Supervisor, where he directed complex post-production projects across multiple genres and collaborated with international teams to deliver visually stunning cinematic experiences. His earlier stints at Prime Focus Ltd., Revery Animations, and Padmalaya Telefilms Ltd. provided him with a strong foundation in 3D animation, compositing, and digital post-production.
With a career spanning over twenty years, Surya has contributed to shaping the evolution of the Indian VFX industry through his vision, technical mastery, and leadership in managing creative teams. At People Media Factory, he is set to elevate the studio’s visual effects capabilities to global benchmarks.
