Jakarta, Indonesia, April 2025 — Suryo Sasono has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at Prudential Syariah, marking a significant leadership addition to the organization’s executive team. With over a decade of experience in HR transformation, people strategy, and organizational development, Suryo brings a holistic and innovation-driven approach to talent leadership in the insurance and fintech sector.
Prior to this, he was Chief Talent Officer at Bukalapak, where he led end-to-end human resources functions across both Indonesian and global offices. He played a pivotal role in shaping Bukalapak’s people strategy, overseeing key functions such as talent acquisition, development, engagement, and workforce transformation.
Earlier at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Suryo served as Project Leader and Consultant, where he advised leading firms on strategy and organizational design. His experience at BCG refined his analytical depth and leadership capability in driving large-scale change initiatives across industries.
At GO-JEK, he held multiple senior HR roles including Head of HR Business Partnering, managing organizational redesigns and talent optimization during a phase of hypergrowth. He was instrumental in spearheading agile structures, compliance programs, and operational improvements across verticals including logistics, lifestyle, and food tech.
Suryo also spent over six years at ConocoPhillips Indonesia, where he began as an HR apprentice and rose to become HR System Analyst, leading several cross-functional, tech-enabled process improvements in workforce analytics and occupational health systems.
