Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, July 2025 – Susan Wangwe has been appointed as Head of People Performance & Culture at iTrust Finance Limited, a rapidly growing Tier 2 financial services provider known for its pioneering work in Shariah-compliant solutions and Sukuk bond issuances in Tanzania. In her new role, Susan will lead the organization’s people strategy, focusing on performance enhancement, cultural alignment, and employee engagement initiatives.
Susan joins iTrust Finance from Toyota Tanzania Ltd., where she served for over a year as HR Manager. At Toyota, she oversaw core HR operations, supported organizational change, and reinforced a performance-driven culture within one of Tanzania’s leading automotive companies.
Prior to that, she was Assistant Manager – Human Resources at the Julius Nyerere Hydro Power Project, a major infrastructure initiative led by the Arab Contractors and Elsewedy Electric. Here, she played a pivotal role in HR strategy, policy implementation, and workforce planning in a highly complex joint venture environment.
Earlier in her career, she served as HR Manager at MILVIK BIMA, a global insurance tech company, and provided HR consulting services through both Paladin & Associates and as an Independent Consultant, advising various organizations on talent strategies and organizational design.
Susan’s foundational HR experience was built across reputable institutions including ICAP at Columbia University, BancABC, Metropolitan, and I&M Bank (T) Limited, where she contributed to talent development, employee relations, and operational HR excellence across the banking, healthcare, and insurance sectors.
