Texas, USA – Tequesta DeSouza has been named the new Vice President of Human Resources at Balfour Beatty US, stepping into this pivotal role after a significant tenure within the company. Her appointment began in April 2024, marking a new chapter in her already distinguished career in human resources within the construction industry.
DeSouza has been with Balfour Beatty US for over 11 years, progressively ascending through various roles that underscore her deep commitment to enhancing organizational success through effective human resource management. She began her journey at the company as a Human Resources Generalist, and through her proven expertise, she evolved into roles of increasing responsibility, including Senior Human Resources Generalist and Human Resources Manager. Most recently, she served as the Human Resources Director, where she honed her skills in developing innovative HR strategies that align with business objectives and foster a positive work culture.
Prior to joining Balfour Beatty, DeSouza founded and led Future Unleashed, LLC., where she focused on preparing young adults for successful careers. She also held significant roles in HR and teaching positions at Nova Southeastern University and was actively involved in the Human Resource Association of Broward County, shaping HR practices in the region.
