Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, United States, September 2025 – Sara Lee Frozen Bakery has announced the appointment of Terra Martire as its new Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, Martire will lead the company’s HR strategy, talent development, and organizational culture, supporting the bakery’s mission to deliver quality and value across its iconic portfolio of brands.
Martire has been with Sara Lee Frozen Bakery since 2022, initially serving as Vice President of Human Resources. In this capacity, she guided strategic HR initiatives, built a robust talent framework, and enhanced organizational effectiveness, laying the foundation for her elevation to Chief Human Resources Officer.
Before joining Sara Lee Frozen Bakery, Martire spent more than three years at Tyson Foods as Human Resources Director. At Tyson, she led large-scale HR programs supporting business operations in Chicago, driving employee engagement, workforce planning, and leadership development initiatives.
Earlier, Martire had an extensive career spanning over 13 years with Northern Trust Corporation, where she held multiple leadership roles. These included Global Practice Lead, Talent Planning & Leadership Programs, where she spearheaded global talent strategies, Manager of College and University Programs, and HR Business Partner. Her early roles at Northern Trust as HR Analyst and Talent Acquisition Administrator provided her with a strong grounding in HR operations and recruitment strategy.
Martire began her career at ViaQuest, Inc. as a Human Resources Coordinator, where she gained hands-on experience in HR processes, employee support, and organizational development. This early foundation helped shape her people-first approach to HR leadership.
