City of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, November 2025 — Terryn Sithara Palani has started a new position as Chief People Officer at Hollard Insurance, marking a significant milestone in her distinguished career in talent, people experience, organisational development and large-scale transformation. In her new role, she will oversee the company’s People strategy, culture evolution and the development of a future-fit workforce to support Hollard’s continued growth across South Africa and the region.
Terryn joins Hollard Insurance after serving as Group People Experience Leader at Coca-Cola Beverages Africa, where she architected and led People Experience strategies across 15 countries. She created a future-fit, globally aligned People Experience framework grounded in technological enablement and a strong culture of belonging. Her work strengthened engagement, inclusivity and productivity across the organisation, ensuring employees and partners remained connected to CCBA’s mission, values and growth ambitions.
Previously, Terryn served in multiple senior leadership roles at Vodacom, most recently as Group Executive: Talent Capability and EXX, where she designed and delivered a robust strategy for Talent, Capability and Employee Experience across the Africa cluster. She played a central role in leadership development, succession planning and talent strategy, while supporting markets during integrations, acquisitions and digital acceleration initiatives across Vodacom, Vodafone and Safaricom operations. Her earlier roles at Vodacom included leading Talent Acquisition & DEI, Talent Management, Performance Development and Assessments, and Learning & Development—contributing significantly to culture building, high performance, organisational effectiveness and Vodacom’s attainment of Level 1 BBBEE status.
Terryn’s career also includes impactful contributions as Organisational Development Executive at SABMiller, where she drove organisation redesign, capability development and training strategies across transformation programmes, global IS initiatives and world-class manufacturing operations. She also played key roles in change integration, capability building and workplace effectiveness within The South African Breweries Limited, shaping multiple organisational and technology transitions.
Her earlier leadership experience spans organisational development, change management, talent diagnostics and HR programmes across large national interventions, including roles at Standard Bank and other business divisions of SAB Limited. She has also served as a Talent Advisory Board Member at the University of South Africa, contributing her expertise to the academic and HR community.
