John has been appointed to the Board of Directors, effective March 20, 2024. This appointment marks a significant move by TETRA Technologies as it continues to navigate the evolving energy landscape.
Angela D. John brings to the table an impressive career spanning nearly three decades in the energy sector, with substantial roles at BP and Williams. Her expertise in senior executive business, strategy leadership, and her deep understanding of the energy transition landscape are anticipated to provide invaluable insights and direction to TETRA Technologies. As an independent director, Ms. John will contribute to the Audit Committee and the Nominating, Governance and Sustainability Committee, starting from her appointment.
The announcement also noted the departure of Gina A. Luna from the board, as she chooses not to seek re-election to focus on her other commitments. Luna’s term will conclude at the 2024 annual meeting of stockholders. The company expressed its gratitude for Luna’s five years of dedicated service and her contributions to the board.

John’s career is notable for her focus on clean energy business development and commercialization strategies, most recently serving as the Director of Innovation and Strategy for New Energy Ventures with The Williams Companies, Inc. Her tenure at BP p.l.c. was marked by leadership in various capacities, emphasizing renewable fuels development among other areas. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston. Since August 2021, Ms. John has also been serving on the board of Parkland Corporation, contributing to its environmental, safety, and sustainability committee, as well as its human resources and compensation committee.
