Johannesburg, South Africa, September 2025 — Tiaan Keyser has been appointed as Chief Talent Analytics Officer & Director at Herbst Alliance™️, the talent management arm of Herbst Group. In this role, he will lead the company’s talent analytics function, building the data backbone that powers talent discovery, mapping, matching, and development at scale. His mandate includes driving data-driven hiring decisions, improving quality of hire, and strengthening client ROI through predictive workforce insights.
Keyser brings over a decade of cross-sector experience spanning pharmaceuticals, consulting, operations, and talent analytics. His expertise lies in leveraging data to enhance workforce strategies, building scalable HR systems, and aligning talent solutions with business objectives.
He currently also serves as Chief Operating Officer of Herbst Group, a role in which he oversees the consultancy’s operations and guides its strategic initiatives. Before assuming his current leadership responsibilities, he was Head of Operations and Support at Herbst Group, where he streamlined processes, optimized delivery models, and contributed to organizational growth.
Earlier, Keyser spent more than five years with IQVIA, holding roles including Senior Consultant, Consultant, and Key Accounts Manager. In these capacities, he partnered with pharmaceutical and healthcare clients to provide data-driven insights, manage key client relationships, and deliver transformative solutions. His tenure at IQVIA helped shape his analytical and commercial acumen, which he now applies in the talent and people analytics domain.
Keyser began his career in the pharmaceutical sales and healthcare sector, working as a Medical Detail Representative at Meda Pharma, where he managed client relationships across Northern Gauteng, North West, and Limpopo. Prior to this, he gained experience as a Biokineticist at Danielle du Toit Biokineticists, where he specialized in rehabilitation for orthopedic injuries, and as an Intern Biokineticist at the Sports Science Institute of South Africa (SSISA), where he supported patient recovery and performance improvement.
With this diverse career background, Keyser combines healthcare knowledge, commercial expertise, and data analytics leadership to bring a unique perspective to Herbst Alliance. His focus on building predictive workforce models, mapping talent ecosystems, and improving retention outcomes will strengthen Herbst Alliance’s role as a partner of choice in talent management across South Africa and beyond.
