La Jolla, CA, June 2024 – Tim Carter has joined Palomar Holdings, Inc. as the new Chief People Officer. With a rich background in talent acquisition, total rewards, learning and development, and human resources strategy, Tim brings extensive expertise to the team, aiming to enhance the company’s HR strategies and support its workforce.
Before joining Palomar Holdings, Inc., Tim served at LPL Financial for approximately 11 years. As the Senior Vice President, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Community Impact, and Corporate Real Estate for nearly 4 years, he was instrumental in aligning various HR functions to create a cohesive and scalable methodology for improving the candidate and employee experience. He also served as the Senior Vice President, Learning and Development and Culture for approximately 4 years, where he spearheaded the company’s culture transformation and directed learning strategy and execution. Additionally, Tim held the role of Vice President, Human Capital Business Partner for approximately 3 years, providing end-to-end human capital consultation for two lines of business at LPL Financial.
Prior to his tenure at LPL Financial, Tim worked at G4S Integrated Services (formerly All Star International) as the CHRO for approximately 4 years, managing diverse business lines including aerospace support services, facilities operations and maintenance, and logistics. He also served as an HR Special Projects Consultant at PAREXEL for nearly a year, where he assisted in reducing the time, risk, and cost associated with developing and commercializing new products.
Tim’s career also includes roles such as CHRO at a Start Up Technology Company for approximately 4.5 years, where he drove strategic workforce initiatives, and Human Resources Manager at Home Depot for approximately 3.5 years, where he established processes designed to maximize labor productivity and profit. He also held the position of Business Operations & Training Manager at Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical, Inc. for approximately 1.5 years, leading sales organization in volume and profit, and served as a Captain in the USMC for approximately 7.5 years, where he led Marines in various organizations.
