Charleston, South Carolina Metropolitan Area ,United States, March 2026 — Timothy Hurd has stepped into a new leadership role as Senior Director of IT Operations (North America) & Global Head of Observability at Sodexo, further strengthening the company’s global technology operations and digital resilience strategy.
In his expanded role at Sodexo, Timothy will lead IT operations across North America while continuing to head the Global Observability function. His mandate includes defining a long-term global observability vision, driving standardization of tools and platforms, and embedding Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles across the enterprise. He will oversee centralized observability platforms such as Datadog, champion SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, and accelerate AI/ML-powered AIOps initiatives to enhance anomaly detection, predictive alerting, and intelligent root cause analysis.
Timothy has been with Sodexo for over 11 years, progressively advancing through senior IT leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Head of the Global Observability Center of Excellence, where he led the architecture and global rollout of scalable observability frameworks and centralized monitoring platforms. Prior to that, as Director of IT Operations, he streamlined ITSM processes, reduced operational costs by 45% through strategic MSP transitions, improved major incident management response times, and provided operational leadership for large-scale migrations to Microsoft Azure.
Earlier in his career, Timothy held multiple IT leadership positions at Integer Holdings Corporation, where he led IT operations, vendor partnerships, and infrastructure modernization initiatives. His professional journey also includes roles at Citi, Fidelity Investments, and Green Mountain Power, building deep expertise across infrastructure management, cloud transformation, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and enterprise IT governance.
