Mesa, Arizona, United States, August 2025 – Tina Burkhead has been appointed as the new Head of People at Edkey® Inc., a unique nonprofit organization that supports 26 public charter schools across Arizona. In this role, she will lead human resources strategies to support Edkey’s diverse school communities and staff across urban, rural, and specialized learning environments.
Prior to joining Edkey® Inc., Tina Burkhead was working independently as a Human Resources Consultant and a Senior Coach & Consultant at Recchion and Associates, LLC, where she provided strategic HR guidance and executive coaching across various industries for over a year and a half.
Before her consulting tenure, she spent over 8 years at StrongMind, where she served as Vice President, People Solutions and Executive Director of Human Resources. In her role as Vice President, she supported HR across four business entities, led global expansion initiatives, and implemented organizational best practices for an $80M+ business.
Earlier in her career, she was Human Resource Director at IPRO Tech, where she built a strong HR foundation from the ground up, automating key systems and improving hiring practices. She also served as Director of Human Resources at Exos (formerly Athletes’ Performance) for over 5 years, helping grow the organization from 45 to 250 employees, and establishing core talent acquisition and visa management systems.
