Virginia, United States, March 2025 – Tommy Comer has joined HealthPRO Heritage as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this role, he will be responsible for leading the organization’s HR strategy, overseeing talent acquisition, benefits, compensation, and employee development initiatives. His leadership will play a critical role in fostering a high-performance culture and aligning HR programs with business objectives to support HealthPRO Heritage’s continued growth and operational excellence.
Comer brings over two decades of HR leadership experience across senior living, healthcare, and corporate HR functions. Prior to joining HealthPRO Heritage, he served as Chief HR Officer at Commonwealth Senior Living, where he oversaw HR operations across 40 communities spanning Virginia, Tennessee, Maryland, Michigan, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. His leadership was instrumental in driving workforce engagement, talent strategy, and employee development. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in community acquisitions, organizational restructuring, and leadership training programs.
Before that, Comer held senior HR leadership roles at Integral Senior Living, EDMC, and Mervyns, where he gained extensive expertise in HR operations, talent acquisition, and organizational development. He holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University and an MBA in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix. His research on the impact of social media on recruitment strategies has contributed to innovative HR practices in talent acquisition and workforce planning.
