Copenhagen, Capital Region of Denmark, Denmark, January 2026 – The Novo Nordisk Foundation has announced the appointment of Trine Haastrup as Chief Financial Officer, strengthening its executive leadership as the Foundation continues to expand its global philanthropic and sustainability-driven impact. In her new role, Trine will lead financial governance, investment stewardship, risk management and long-term capital strategy supporting the Foundation’s mission to improve health, sustainability and scientific and societal progress.
Trine joins the Novo Nordisk Foundation after serving as Corporate Vice President and Head of Corporate Accounting at Novo Nordisk, where she led group accounting, financial governance and global reporting standards across one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies.
Prior to this, she served as Vice President and Head of Group Reporting and Financial Compliance at Vestas, where she strengthened global financial compliance, governance and reporting excellence across renewable energy operations.
Earlier in her career, Trine spent over 18 years at PwC, holding senior leadership positions including Director and Senior Manager (Statsautoriseret Revisor), leading large audit, risk assurance and compliance engagements across Denmark and international markets.
