Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2026 — Upasna Patel has joined Citi as Assistant Vice President, Talent Management & Engagement – Asia South, JANA, MEA. In her new role, she will focus on strengthening regional talent strategies, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness across diverse international markets.
Prior to joining Citi, Upasna Patel spent over seven years with The Walt Disney Company, where she held multiple talent and HR leadership roles. Most recently, as HR Partner | Talent & Growth, India & APAC, she led performance, inclusion, engagement, and learning initiatives for Disney India while driving key inclusion and organizational development programs across APAC. She also managed employee lifecycle responsibilities for international corporate teams spanning multiple business functions.
Earlier at The Walt Disney Company, she served as Learning and Talent Solutions Specialist and Learning and Engagement Lead within the India Centre of Excellence, spearheading performance management programs, employee listening initiatives, onboarding transformation, and engagement strategies. Before Disney, Upasna Patel built her HR foundation through roles at KPMG India, Larsen & Toubro, and Reliance Group, developing strong expertise in learning, development, and corporate HR operations. She holds a Master of Management Studies in Human Resources from University of Mumbai.
