Islamabad, Pakistan, November 2025 — Mobilink Bank, recognised as the Best Place to Work in Pakistan’s banking industry, has appointed Usman Saleem Akhter as Vice President, Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding. In this pivotal leadership role, Usman will spearhead the bank’s nationwide talent acquisition strategy, strengthen its employer brand, and elevate hiring excellence to support its mission of advancing digital financial inclusion across Pakistan.

Usman joins Mobilink Bank after an impactful tenure of more than six years at S&P Global, where he served as Senior Analyst, Talent Acquisition – Enterprise Technology (APAC). He led international recruitment strategies across the APAC region, managed end-to-end hiring cycles, strengthened global stakeholder relationships, championed DEI initiatives, and consistently achieved 90% satisfaction scores from hiring managers and candidates. His work included global sourcing strategies and niche hiring across domains such as Salesforce, Appian, ServiceNow, cloud, data, DevOps, and engineering roles.

Before S&P Global, he spent three years at Global Directions Pvt. Ltd. as Talent Acquisition Manager, where he built strong client partnerships, streamlined full-cycle recruitment processes, created robust talent pipelines, and led hiring for diverse technical roles across multiple industries.

Earlier, at Ericsson, Usman served as Regional Recruiter – RMEA, managing end-to-end recruitment across the Middle East and Africa. His achievements included being named the “Superstar Recruiter” of 2015, delivering Pakistan’s and Ethiopia’s largest recruitment projects, designing recruitment roadshows, and serving as a training lead and subject matter expert for regional TA teams.

He began his HR journey in consulting and early-stage HR leadership roles at organisations including Rockville Technologies, Caraway Pharmaceuticals, and Gujranwala Food Industries, where he established HR departments, designed HR handbooks, built organisational structures, introduced performance management frameworks, and drove high-volume recruitment programs.
