Sharjah, UAE—V N Venkataraman has been promoted to Head of Human Resources for the International Renewable division at Larsen & Toubro. This new role marks a significant advancement in his nearly two-decade career with the company, demonstrating a solid track record of leadership and innovation in human resources management.
Based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, Venkataraman has been instrumental in harmonizing the company’s HR operations with its strategic objectives across the Middle East & Africa regions. His efforts have notably improved talent acquisition, performance management, and employee engagement within Larsen & Toubro’s Power Transmission & Distribution Integrated Construction (IC) segment.
Prior to this promotion, Venkataraman served as the Deputy General Manager – HR from April 2018, where he focused on aligning HR functions with business goals, enhancing employee experiences, and ensuring compliance with local employment laws across various countries.
Before his tenure at Larsen & Toubro, Venkataraman enriched his experience at Shriram Value Services, where he managed HR functions for over a decade, playing a critical role in recruitment and team development across Southeast Asia. His career foundation was built on significant roles at Dodsal E & C Pte Ltd and other multinational firms, where he managed complex HR operations and multinational staff across diverse geographies, including Oman, Qatar, Egypt, and India.
