Gurugram, Haryana, India, November 2025 — Varun Sethuraman has been elevated to Business Head – Breakfast Cereals, South Asia Region at Nestlé, marking a significant milestone in his exceptional journey with the global food and beverage leader. In his new role, Varun will oversee the Breakfast Cereals business across India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, leading strategy, innovation, and brand building to strengthen Nestlé’s leadership in this dynamic and rapidly evolving category. His mandate includes driving category growth through consumer-led innovation, sharper market execution, and regional business expansion.
Over his distinguished tenure at Nestlé, Varun has made remarkable contributions to some of the company’s most iconic brands. His leadership during this period was instrumental in sustaining brand love while driving strategic growth across diverse consumer segments and channels.
Earlier, as Category & Channel Lead, Varun led business strategy for Nestlé’s entire portfolio in Western India, overseeing trade, customer, and shopper marketing functions. His focus on insights-led execution helped build stronger retail and distribution frameworks across the region.
Prior to this, Varun served as Senior Brand Manager for MAGGI Noodles & Pazzta, where he managed the value-added noodles and pasta portfolios, leading several successful innovations including MAGGI Oats Noodles, Hot Heads, and Atta Noodles. His earlier stints as Brand Manager and Assistant Brand Manager saw him pioneering new product development and communication strategies, such as the introduction of the Wet Cooking Base category under MAGGI — initiatives that set benchmarks in consumer convenience and culinary relevance.
Varun began his career with Nestlé India as a Management Trainee, gaining cross-functional exposure across sales and marketing. Before joining Nestlé, he worked with PepsiCo Beverages on consumer insights and market feedback for PEPSI Max, and with Cognizant Technology Solutions as a Programmer Analyst, building a foundation in analytical thinking and project execution. He holds a PGDM in Marketing from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR), one of India’s top business schools.
