Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, November 2025 — Vedprakash Ragate has begun a new chapter as the Chief Operating Officer at Megafine Pharma (P) Ltd., marking an important milestone in the organisation’s leadership transformation. With over three decades of deep experience across pharmaceutical operations, engineering, project management, manufacturing excellence, and business optimisation, he steps into this strategic position to help drive Megafine’s next phase of growth and operational advancement.
Vedprakash joins Megafine Pharma after serving as Executive Director at Sequent Scientific Limited and Alivira Animal Health, where he spent over three years leading operations and contributing to strategic capability development across the company’s animal health and pharma businesses. During this period, he played an instrumental role in enhancing operational effectiveness, manufacturing efficiencies, and cross-functional alignment.
Before this, he served as Head of Operations at Solara Active Pharma Sciences, where he provided leadership across manufacturing processes and operational systems for the organisation’s large-scale API operations. His three-year tenure strengthened his expertise in operational excellence and pharma compliance, positioning him as a seasoned operational leader.
Earlier, Vedprakash spent nearly seven years as Vice President – Operations at Granules India Limited, followed by an impressive fourteen-year tenure as Director TMO at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he built extensive technical and operational expertise across complex pharma environments. His early foundational experience was shaped at organisations including Gharda Chemicals Limited, CASIL Health Products Limited, and United Phosphorus Inc, where he contributed to production, plant engineering, and operations, building a strong base in chemical engineering and plant management.
Vedprakash holds an Executive Program in Leadership & Management from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, further reinforcing his strong technical and managerial foundation.
